TownePlace Suites by Marriott Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach

When arriving we were confused with the construction but once we understood where to go then we were good. The construction was in our favor. They waved our pet fee due to construction. Thats a win lol The rooms were clean and updated. We couldn't hear the neighbors. Our tv was loud and we couldnt hear it in the hallway. We loved it. Perfect for us and our fur pup. Clean and no issues. We are always worried about seeing bugs but we saw none. I look for those things and no trace. So grateful for that. I recommend this place!

The building is a bit dated, but overall entirely adequate. We stayed with our cats since we were visiting family in town while in the process of moving, and the room was comfortable, safe, and quiet enough for them to relax and not be stressed out from the change. It's an easy drive to Wrightsville Beach or to downtown. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and when we mentioned a minor issue as we were checking out just to give them a heads up, we actually got a call from the manager to let us know it had been addressed. Very responsive team and they obviously care a lot about taking care of their guests. Looking forward to staying again after the planned remodel!

Received an upgraded room and it was great. Had to run the dishwasher while I was out - VERY loud. Air conditioning worked well. Very close to UNCW campus. Staff were friendly, breakfast options were good but I didn’t try anything. Coffee was always hot. I checked in online and requested a mobile key but still had to check in at the desk - don’t offer the service if I’m going to have to check in at the desk. I’d stay here again but the key situation is inconvenient.

Bath tub had rust and mold, couldn't give my grandson a bath but the rest of the room was fine.

Had a great stay. Nice clean room. Free hot breakfast. My only criticism is that the hotel lacks signage. There are no signs on the face of the hotel and the signage from the street is small and does not illuminate at night so it’s very easy to miss. However, I believe the hotel still undergoing renovations, so perhaps this will be addressed.

The hotel is currently under renovations, and I totally loved our room. Everything was super clean, with new flooring, paint, cabinets, etc. The hotel is also dog friendly, but waved the nightly pet fee since they are still under renovations. The location is right up the road from Wrightsville Beach. I would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Hotel is currently under renovation. But the staff always treats you right. Fair prices as well. Definitely a good spot to stay in during the peak summer season.

This is the second time I've tried to check-in to a TownePlace 30min early and have been told that the room isn't ready - which, like, is totally fair because technically I'm early but it's just funny that it has only ever happened at TownePlaces. Anyway, staff here was super friendly. The wait for the room was only like 10min anyway. The whole place is being renovated which if you've stayed in any other Marriott property in the last year then you know that's basically going on everywhere. The reno makes the hallways very narrow and hard to navigate past the laundry carts when you have lots of gear like I do. The lobby was super hot and humid making getting breakfast in the morning miserable. I tried using the ice trays in my room but apparently they were cracked and all the water leaked out forming ice stalagmites in the freezer.
